JIT
Android games compile code while they run. iOS only allows that while a debugger is attached. JIT is that debugger, for a moment. Without it, Husk can show your library but cannot start Android or a translation-layer game — unless the game is on the Play without JIT list and you imported a certificate.
Husk walks through each method in Settings › JIT & Sideload.
Which method
| Situation | Use |
|---|---|
| iOS 27+ | Built-in StikJIT. Pair on this iPhone in Settings › JIT. No computer. |
| iOS 26 | Built-in StikJIT with a pairing file from a computer, plus LocalDevVPN. |
| Older iOS, or Husk inside LiveContainer | The StikDebug app. |
| TrollStore (before iOS 26) | TrollStore, with its URL Scheme setting on. |
| Dopamine jailbreak (before iOS 26) | Allow JIT for apps in the jailbreak settings. |
From iOS 26, only a debugger can grant JIT. TrollStore / jailbreak shortcuts no longer work there.
Built-in StikJIT
- Developer Mode on: Settings › Privacy & Security › Developer Mode.
- Install and connect LocalDevVPN (iOS 26 pairing-file flow). The VPN icon should be in the status bar. Wi-Fi stays on; nothing leaves the phone.
- In Husk, start pairing and allow Local Network if asked.
- The first time, Husk may download Apple’s Developer Disk Image. Let it finish.
If Enable JIT fails: toggle LocalDevVPN off and on, then pair again. If “Pair with Husk” never appears, turn on Local Network for Husk under Privacy & Security.
StikDebug
Install StikDebug next to Husk and enable JIT from Husk’s JIT settings, or from StikDebug itself. This is the path inside LiveContainer, which cannot use Husk’s built-in StikJIT.
After JIT is on
The status line in Husk should show that a debugger is attached. Then start a game from the library. If it still waits, open Settings › About › Open Console and look for jit lines.
